I recently purchased this camera for my girlfriend who out grew the features and limitations of the Fujifilm Finepix Z1. ( The Z1 is an outstanding camera however, it has limitations when being used for creative work). We took several pics macro, super-macro, night shots, indoor, outdoor etc. As a professional protographer I found the picture quality to be outstanding. (the camera was set up for the highest resolution and quality with a 1 gig memory card). The camera performed well in all situations. The only complaint I would have is the shutter lag could be faster. I have not experienced the bluriness or poor picture quality some people have reported. For the price the camera has loads of features not normally found in cameras of this price range. I would highly recommend this camera for novice or experienced users alike. As with any new digital camera you must make sure of the mode your shooting in as there are lots of modes, shooting in the wrong one will lead to poor shoots, and READ THE MANUAL
    Pro : Great picture quality
Con : Shutter lag could be faster

I had been thinking of getting a digital camera, & my wife gave this camera for Christmas. I know Pentax has been making cameras a long time, so I was happy with the brand she chose. I must say, I love this camera. It's compact, great image quality, easy to use, & has a very user friendly instruction manual. For a camera in this price range, it has a LOT of features. Modes include; movie, 2 macros, portrait, kids, pets, night, scenery, & blur reduction. Flash modes include red-eye reduction & soft flash. I have taken pics outside, inside with & without flash, & night scenes of Christmas lights. All turned out great. Have found the "program" mode gives better images which allows you to preset image quality, contrast, etc. compared to the auto mode. The shutter lag could be better. I have read a couple of reviews elsewhere which had some users reporting blurred images, which I have not experienced. I'm thinking this may have occurred due to movement before exposure due to long shutter lag. Should mention also that the movie mode has good pic quality & sound on TV. Has Image-Link capability which allows direct docking only to Kodak Easy-Share printers. Uses AA batteries which I like. Battery life is good, I'm using rechargables in mine. I use 7 MP setting for most pics, which uses more memory, but better quality. Invest in a 1 or 2 GB memory card & don't worry about it. Has a 3.1 lens compared to 2.8 on comp. cameras, but no biggie to me. I highly recommend this camera.
Pro : Great pic quality, uses AA batteries, lots of features.
Con : Shutter lag could be better..

After a lot of research for buying my first digital camera I picked this one because it was 7 megapix and had the best features for the money. It's easy to figure out, even before reading the manual. I suppose after reading it I'll do better at taking action shots. The camera takes great pictures with limited light and the movie option is fun. There are more options than I planned to use but it's great knowing that I have them. I did consider Nikon Coolpix L6 amd Casio Exilm Z60 but liked the Pentax for the value. It doesn't get a lot of write up but don't let that dissuade you. This is a great little camera and will do everything you want it to. Consider this one before you make that final decision.
Pro : Small size, lots of features, ease of use, great pictures.
Con : lag in getting action shots.

I got this as a gift and LOVED IT!

For a point and shoot camera it takes GREAT pictures!

There are several settings for all sorts of things to make things easy… or you can use the advanced settings if you know what you are doing!

Takes videos clips! Not as good as a camcorder BUT great for youtube!

Fits easily in pocket or purse!

    Large 2.5" screen!

Unlike most Point & shoot cams, this has its own power button that makes it MUCH EASIER to turn on!!

Compatible with the Kodak Easyshare products - Printer dock, charger, dock, etc!

Uses and SD memory card- I used a 2GB and got plenty of pictures using the highest settings! About 200 pictures or 15 minutes of videos!

    Battery Life if good also!

Would recommend to a friend… I loved my camera but upgraded to a new DSLR camera!

Picture quality is also great unless you take in low lights!!
Pro : Easy to use, compact size, optical zoom, battery life, Kadak Easyshare compatible, No hard to turn dail to power on, 7MP, some advanced features, large screen, different settings, 1/2 shutter focus, SD card, take videos with SOUND, multi drive speeds
Con : Shutter lag, no viewfinder, battery door unlocks easy, nightshots not good, low light shutter speed misses picture you wanted

For the price this is a great little camera. Vary seldom do I get a bad shot and when I do I know it's me and not the camera.
Pantax knows there stuff and puts in the features that really work.
For Support I put like it, only reason really is I have not had to use it yet.
Slight shutter lag ,but I have dealt with worse (much)..
I Paid a really great price online for this camera and I'm pleased I picked Pantax M20
Pro : Lots of features, easy to use.
    Con : Nothing so far

This is the first time I've ever had a digital camera in my possection! I'm still learning how to work all the small funtions on the camera but I really like it a lot! I like the way you can set the funtions of the camera to whatever it is that you want to take a picture of! Whether its food or a picture of a landscape! I really would recommend this camera to anyone that is looking for a small compact camera. The instructions in the booklet are not written in a 'foreign' language that you couldn't read! Its easy to understand the manual! I like it and I hope others decide to buy it too!
Pro : quality of the camera
Con : small and compact..not too big!
